Field Engineer Technician - San Diego, CA
Essential responsibilities and daily duties include:

Provide technical assistance and electrical troubleshooting with the installation, modification, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of system of expertise mentioned above.

Provide technician support for urgent mission degrading maintenance problems or other system and component problems affecting propulsion plant systems.

Provide technician support for assessments and inspections of covered ships with obtaining supply and repair parts information as required.

Provide Ship’s Force training on electrical troubleshooting techniques to identify and correct equipment failures.

Provide out briefs to Ship’s Force representatives including ship’s officers and supporting personnel to include command management and executive staff.

Assist with technical research and resolution recommendations for maintenance or availability issues.

Provide technical support for maintenance task issue resolution, and review of other formal work packages.
Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

8 years of experience in ship maintenance including the planning of the field services with 5 years of experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) beyond technical training.

Industry experience with shipbuilding and/or Navy ship maintenance.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to work onsite and remote.

Ability to obtain a secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearance.

Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS (up to 25%). Ability to obtain a United States Passport.
