Timekeeping Administrator - Colo. Spring, CO

The Timekeeping Administratorsupports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

• Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile labor discrepancies.

• Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.

• Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.

• Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records.

• Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.

• Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, and benefit policies.

• Collect and distribute timecards and labor hours on a weekly basis.

• Verify, and process forms and documentation for administration of benefit earning codes such as military leave, jury duty, and medical leave of absence.

• Prepare and balance period-end reports, reconcile teammate, subcontractor and issued payrolls to posted labor and General Ledger.

• Compile statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts as needed.

• Train employees on organizations' timekeeping systems and processes.

• Conduct internal timekeeping audits; prepare documentation and support external audits as required.

• Manage assigned projects and collaborate with cross-functional team members to deliver high-quality information to the leadership team.

• Assist with special projects as assigned by the manager.

• Back up for travel authorization and expense report processing (CONUS and OCONUS).

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 4 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 2 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 0 years of general experience.

• Must have 2.5 years of directly related experience in an accounting or finance role

• Must have a general understanding of standard accounting principles

• Must have a basic understanding of timekeeping and payroll concepts

• Must have experience performing data analysis using spreadsheets and relational database programs

• Must have experience using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs for large volumes of data

• Must have experience with operating standard office equipment (computer, printer, copy machine, etc)

• Must have, or be able to obtain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
