Summer IT Co-op - Lexington, MA
This position will support group 92 IT needs. This will include installing, updating, maintaining and troubleshooting all necessary software products required to operate PC’s, workstations and servers. Operating systems supported include Microsoft Windows, Macintosh, Linux and Unix. Applications include Microsoft Office, Network Associates McAfee virus scan, Sygate firewall and anti-spyware, Adobe Acrobat, and Mathworks and any other applications or software requested by Staff. Provide support for the backup operations of the group 92 file servers. Troubleshooting network and network printing problems. Must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
Requirements
- Education: Accredited college coop program with at least one-year with a Computer Science background. Microsoft certification a plus.
- Experience: At least one year of direct related software experience on PC’s, workstations. Must be knowledgeable in the use of various operating systems (Windows,Linux Apple and Unix) as well as application software products (Microsoft Office, McAfee Anti-virus ). Should have basic understanding of networking.
Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
